A school for everyone

EADesenho is dedicated to the teaching and practice of drawing and the visual arts, bringing together different approaches, techniques, and materials in a program designed for various levels of experience.

EADesenho was born from a desire to create a space in Lisbon dedicated to the teaching and practice of drawing and the visual arts. A school where it is possible to begin, continue, and maintain an artistic practice over time.

Founded by Joana Rebelo de Andrade and Margarida Pereira, both with backgrounds in Fine Arts, the school is based on a simple idea: drawing is a fundamental practice with its own language, but it is also a foundation for exploring painting, illustration, and other disciplines.

We believe in learning through practice, observation, materials, and experimentation. Our program brings together ongoing courses, workshops, and life drawing sessions, with teachers and artists from different backgrounds and approaches.

Our approach

Practice

We believe that you learn to draw by drawing. Consistent practice is at the heart of our courses, guided by artists and teachers with diverse backgrounds and approaches.

Fundamentals

Observation, proportion, composition, light, space, and matter form a solid foundation for drawing and for the development of other artistic practices.

Experimentation

We work with a variety of materials, techniques, and processes, creating space to experiment and develop your own practice.
